September 16-21, 2009, Cracow, Poland.

Second Announcement

Dear Readers,

We wish to inform you that from September 16 to September 19, 2009 there will be held in Cracow the 8th  International Conference on:

"Eco-physiological Aspects of Plant Responses to Stress Factors"

organized under the auspicious of Polish Botanical Society by the Franciszek Górski Institute of Plant Physiology, Polish Academy of Sciences in Cracow, in cooperation with the Agricultural University in Nitra (Slovakia), Institute of Plant Protection, Hungarian Academy of Sciences, Budapest, Institute of Biology, Cracow Pedagogical Academy, Department of Pomology and Basic Research in Horticulture, Warsaw Agricultural University and Department of Plant Physiology, Cracow Agricultural University.

After previous conferences we received signals indicating that in this subject has aroused an interest and that such meetings need to be continued. We hope that your participation in the conference this year will be a confirmation of this fact.

This year conference will be dedicated to commemorate Professor Włodzimierz Starzecki, died in 2007.

Three forms of presentations will be allowed: plenary lecture (40 min.), oral presentations (20 min) and poster sessions.

During the conference a competition for the best presentation of the research results (one for oral communiqués and one for poster presentations) for the young scientists will be organized. We invite the young people to participate in the competition.


The conference abstracts will be published as a supplement to Acta Phisiologiae Plantarum in electronic version and as “Book of abstracts”. Also selected papers will be published as a separate monograph in "Advances of Agricultural Sciences Problem Issues".  Detail information regarding the preparation of the abstracts and full texts of the papers will be given in the registration package.
